Phantom PLUS works with any recording device; DVD recorders (Yes we have allowed for that inconvenient slow start up cycle!!), hard disc-recorders, multimedia PC's, oh and the humble VCR of course!
Phantom PLUS is first 'taught' the commands necessary to control your recorder and the channel number necessary to record from your digital receiver. It is attached to the digital receiver's "VCR" socket by means of the plug-through connector, and the main unit is attached to the side or top of the receiver or recorder by its magnetic base. Once fitted PhantomPLUS can be forgotten and will never need reprogramming unless you upgrade your recorder
When the program is over it will stop recording and switch the recorder back to standby.
In operation PhantomPLUS is powered entirely from the digital receiver.
