You no longer need to subscribe to the Sky HD Pack (£10 per month) in order to use a Sky HD Receiver. The Sky HD Receiver will work as a Sky plus box (providing a you have a Sky subscription). You will receive BBC HD, Luxe HD and C4 HD without the HD subscription.

Due to new legislation the Samsung 500 now has an off mode, allowing you to switch the receiver off using the standby button on the receiver rather than unplugging the HD Box from the wall or switching the HD box at the mains socket.



The Sky+HD box is ready for the HD Pack and for new services like 3D TV and Video on Demand, launching in 2010.
